Farewell Kim
This week, Kim Pichot, our Executive Director stepped down to head to Washington D.C. to accept a teaching position and to pursue her Doctorate degree at Washington Adventest University. The following note is from Kim to the members of the Johnstown-Milliken Chamber of Commerce.
Dear Chamber Members,
Last Friday I accepted a position teaching management and marketing at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland. This is a great move for my family, yet it is with a sad heart that I write to you one last time as Executive Director.
On Tuesday evening, we had a Board meeting here at the Chamber office to discuss the immediate needs here in the office and start the discussion of our future for the Chamber. I will support the Board in any way I can from Maryland, via email and phone while we transition. Dennis Reed, our current Vice President, has agreed to step up as Interim Executive Director. You are in good hands. If you have any questions, please call the office and talk to either Dennis Reed or Kurt Rollin (our President). They are always willing to help you.
It has been a pleasure to serve you and I have grown to love and respect the business owners in both Milliken and Johnstown. I wish you all a prosperous year and if you would like to stay in touch, my email is kimpichot@cs.com.
Sincerely,
Kim
The Board of Directors wishes Kim and her family a safe journey and good luck in her new position in our nation’s capital.
